Owen Williams, Solutions Architect and Paul Sebborn, Head of Front-end have both achieved their Drupal "Grand Master" certification from Acquia.
This is a particularly impressive feat for the pair of long-serving Zoocha stalwarts, since both welcomed new babies into their families in 2018, and Drupal development is just one aspect of the many things that they do as part of their roles.
This now means the resident Zoocha Grand Master certification tally across Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 now stand at nine, the most of any UK based Drupal agency.
To become a Grand Master you have to pass three of the hardest Drupal certification exams covering developer, front end and back end specialisms. We’ve covered more about the Acquia certification process in the past. No easy feat. (At the time of writing there are fewer than 400 in the world).
The time and effort spent gaining these certifications produces developers who are abreast of the latest best practice and industry trends and who can work with efficiency. Having Grand Masters on our team means the our clients get the very best talent in the industry working on their websites, whether that’s running an audit or creating amazing digital experiences for them.
At Zoocha, we’re committed to ensuring that our employees have the very best possible training and professional development at all levels. Recent successes include: -
Developer George Bonnici-Carter has reached the second rung of the Drupal 8 certification ladder by passing the Acquia Drupal 8 Developer exam. George now has the two specialist exams firmly in his sights to complete the set in 2019.
Developer Erik Kraft passed his AWS Solutions Architect Practitioner exam. AWS exams help developers build credibility and confidence by validating their expertise with an industry-recognized credential.
Developer Santiago Martinez passed his Drupal 7 Developer exam in April 2019
Developer Javier García passed his Site Builder exam in April 2019
As further commitment, several other team members have Acquia Drupal Developer exams lined up for summer 2019.
Of course, having access to the latest technical expertise helps our team do a better job. But more importantly we believe that not only does this make for agile developers who can quickly deal with clients’ requests but investing in our team in this way makes for a happier workforce.
