Beefeater, part of the Whitbread family, first launched in 1974 and from there has grown into a British institution. The menus are filled with their famous steaks, alongside delicious chicken and fish grills as well as some tasty vegetarian dishes, tempting starters and desserts.
Brief
Zoocha were asked to create a micro site to help promote the “Proper Lunch” campaign; the micro site naturally had to work across all devices whilst offering a rich media feel. The microsite also offered simple social media interactions to help make the campaign more viral.
Solution
Zoocha firstly settled upon the url “properlunch.co.uk” as this was key to the campaigns message. We chose to use HTML5 alongside JavaScript to create the rich feel and thus allowing it be viewable across multiple platforms – including mobile devices that do not support flash. We added simple Facebook integration allowing visitors to post their “worst lunch” to their profile and leveraged Amazon EC2 to host the PDF files.
